It helps students assess their personality and capability, educates them about a whole host of career options, gives them exposure to professionals in the industry, aids them with decision making and finally supports students with soft skills important for success in any profession.
MEET OUR TEAM

Ruchika is an HR professional with overall twelve years of experience across UAE and India. She started working on this initiative in August 2016 to support students across UAE who are struggling to make difficult choices related to their career.
In her last role she was heading the Talent Management function within HR at a company called VFS TasHeel. She had multiple regions under her purview such as EMEA, Asia and Australia.
Prior to this Ruchika has worked with companies such as Royal Bank of Scotland, Fidelity Investments and Randstad.
She's an MBA in HR and Masters in Labour Laws from India.

Dean is a Director at Calabash Advisory Services and has overall 25 years experience. In his previous role he was the CFO for VFS TasHeel at Dubai.
In the past he has been CFO at Spencon International Ltd, Exec Director Finance&Admin at Buck International Properties, Abu Dhabi, Finance Director at Sourouh Real Estate PJSC, Abu Dhabi and CFO at the Electricity Holding Company at Muscat, Oman.
Dean has had an opportunity to work in different countries such as South Africa, Oman, UAE and UK.
He is a CA from South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and has a Management Diploma from London Business School.

Deema is an award winning filmmaker with broadcasted & festival competing work with over
nine years experience.
She has featured in many magazines and newspapers regionally, has been a radio talk show guest and a speaker at several forums including RSICA(Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts), where she was the commencement speaker for the class of 2010. She is the first female director of a Jordanian fiction feature length film.
She resides in Dubai, and works in the capacity of Producer and Director on a project basis.

TIM ELLIOTT
Tim Elliott is a journalist and broadcaster and has worked as a music and news radio presenter in his native London, the south of England and the UAE – since 1989. Having spent the noughties working in financial media, based in Dubai, he made the switch back to radio in 2010 and now presents Dubai Eye’s ‘Drive Live’ show.
Tim adds international relevance to events taking place in UAE in his very popular show. His easy on-air banter means it is serious when it’s called for, in-depth when necessary and fun where appropriate.
To top it all, he's an incredibly humble man and the new generation has a lot to learn from someone like him who is so successful and yet extremely down to earth.
Dr. Carmen Chiran has more than sixteen years experience in the ENT field. She completed her MD & Ph.D. (ENT) from University of Medicine & Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania and has been working in Dubai since 2013.
Prior to this, she worked as an ENT Specialist at Sligo General Hospital at Ireland.
Dr. Carmen started her career as an Intern doctor in clinical hospital “I. Cantacuzino” Bucharest, in the general surgery and internal medicine clinic.
She has also been a scientific researcher at the Scientific Research Department at the biggest ENT clinic in Romania.

Chiao worked as a Marine Geotechnical Engineer from 2001-2012 before taking a break to bring up her kids. She has worked in UK and Middle East as a full-time employee as well as a consultant. She mostly worked for the oil and gas sector and occasionally for the wind farm sector as well.
Chiao is an M.Eng in Civil Engineering from University College, London, UK.

Aditya is an Urban Planner and Architect, currently working with L+B Design Group. In the past, he has worked with Ivar Krasinki, a renowned name in the world of Architecture, on the Dubai Motor City Project.
He was awarded the VLIR Scholarship in 2009, for an Advanced Masters in Human Settlements at Belgium. Here he was actively involved in urban design related studies and proposals for the state of New York and Northern Palestine.
Prior, as a Senior Architect he was in charge of design and construction coordination for large hospitality projects in the Middle East. In 2005, he was one of the five Architects selected by the European Union for an internship at the University Of La Cambre, Belgium. Here he guided final year students of architecture on the post-disaster reconstruction design of Tafensa, a village in Northern Morocco.

ADITYA KRISHNAN


Archana has more than a decade's experience as a full time journalist and a part-time artist. She has worn different hats during her career, that of a business journalist, brand manager, creative writer, TV presenter and a news producer. She has worked/lived in various metropolitan cities like Dubai, New Delhi and Mumbai.
Today she is a consultant, serving the news and art industries not limited to the Middle East. RD is a columnist for various newspapers and mostly writes as an art critic or on aspects of the business of art. Her previous stint as a newsperson includes Gulf News and Australia's News Corp. at its Indian bureau.

Rupali is a qualified solicitor of England and Wales. She completed her higher studies in UK - Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) from College of Law, Bloomsbury and Legal Practice Course (LPC) from College of Law, Moorgate.
She specialised is Human Rights and achieved a distinguished membership of Mental Health Law Panel Member from the Law Society.
Her work experience includes a three year stint with Noble Solicitors in Bedfordshire,UK doing rotations of Childcare, Human Rights, Contracts and Criminal Law. Later she developed interest in the field of education and started mentoring and guiding undergraduate law students as well as those in Year 13.

Aditi has twelve years experience working in the UAE and during this time she has had the opportunity to work with organisations such as Honeywell, Carl Zeiss Vision and Kwality Ice cream.
She has done Engineering BE Hons.(Computer Sciences) from BITS Pilani(Dubai Campus) and MBA in Marketing&HR from S.P.Jain(Dubai Campus).
Aditi has grown up, studied and worked in UAE and is eager to create awareness among students about Marketing as a career choice.

Ankur has thirty years experience in the Oilfield Services industry. Most recently, he was the Vice President, Middle East and Asia for Weatherford, based in Dubai responsible for Middle East, North Africa and Asia Pacific region for all Weatherford businesses.
Prior to this, he was the CEO and Managing Director of various oilfield companies at Essar Group, a Mumbai based 30 billion dollar conglomerate.
He also served as Director on the Board of Essar Shipping Limited and has held a variety of operations, technical, marketing and management positions with Schlumberger working in India, Middle East, Europe and the US. He holds a B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
